This half day session provides a comprehensive overview of the application process for Ophthalmology specialty recruitment. We will provide an insight on what interviewers expect from applicants as well as talks provided from recent successful ST1 applicants about their own experiences. Key interview topics will be discussed including the changing landscape of the NHS and Ophthalmology, academic Ophthalmology applications, and key requirements of training including exams and portfolio. We offer tips on audits, publications, presentations and teaching. This course is ideal for foundation doctors as well as medical students keen on finding more about this highly sought-after career.
